In many ways 2012 was a royal flush, no, not the card hand, more like the toilet variety.

A sense of recent nostalgia, no, not like adolesence, more like day before yesterday!

Yesterday turned into today and tomorrow, without changes of substance, without progress, without meaningful hope. Alas, dreams and nightmares blended into mediocrity, all to no avail. A brief rest was needed, batteries a slow charge, values revalued, and principles renewed.
